BIM Drafting Services Pty Ltd provided 3D modelling, steel detailing and BIM consultancy services for the Cloudbreak Enhancement Project for Fortescue Metals Ltd, comprising of 3860 Tonnes of Structural, Platework and Mechanical steel. The Cloudbreak mine is an iron ore mine located in the Pilbara region of Western Australia. Included in the enhancement were screening, crushing and de-sand plants which are used to prepare and refine the product before the ore is stockpiled ahead of transport to port.

This Brownfields project interfaced with the existing Cloudbreak Mine Site. By back modelling the existing plant using "As Built" fabrication drawings, clashes and construction issues were highlighted during 3D model reviews, which reduced the amount of site work and allowed the construction team to plan and forecast using the composite model.
